• EHX Dirt Road Special (Reissue)

  A newer version of the amp originally designed by Bob Myer, inventor of the Big Muff. The “Bite” control  creates a distortion texture unlike anything else. You’ve got to try it.

  The DOD FX69 Grunge is the greatest distortion pedal ever made. I will not be taking questions. DOD made an amp version, which we modelled here. Is it good? You tell me.

  Naturally, DOD followed up the Grunge amp with this, complete with built-in chorus, because of course. This amp feels like it’s made out of hardened paper towels, and you need to try it.

  This little guy looks like a motel intercom from Route 66, which is fitting because it sounds like road-trip music. It’s lo-fi, vibey, and criminally cool.

  This late-‘70s EHX amp eventually evolved into the Dirt Road Special and was used by The Ramones. It’s gritty, loud, and soaked in NYC punk history.
